Built on the Hawaiian Island of O’ahu, Lanikai’s Makau Series utilizes solid Koa wood from the slopes of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa on the Big Island of Hawai’i. Makau ukuleles are built to high standards by experienced Hawaiian luthiers. The “Haleiwa” Soprano features 18 frets, a Rosewood fingerboard, a hand-rubbed oil and wax finish, a traditional abalone “Makau” inlay and a deluxe hard-shell case.
