The author, born in Puebla de los Angeles (Mexico), was a student of the Spanish scientist, archaeologist Lorenzo Boturini Benaducci, and his work was a continuation of the master's work.The Codex Veitia consists of six parts:1 part - describes the Mexican accounting system;2nd part - concerns the customs of the celebrated holidays;Part 3 - described the Aztec gods and their main temples;4th part - was devoted to the chronology of the founding of Mexico;Part 5 - concerned the Ixtlilxochitl calendar;The last, sixth part consists of the author's notes placed on the Aztec calendar.The Veitia Codex was the last manuscript belonging to the Magliabecchiano Codex group.
